Workshop
For a lot of creative professionals spending time researching the latest online tools and trends is not exactly your favorite thing to do. You know you need a website, but making decisions before you know all your options results in wasted time and money, and worse–lost opportunity. This is the biggest and most common mistake I see artists make with their websites, and I want to make sure you avoid it!
Whether you are starting a new site or seeking to improve an existing one, this workshop will teach you simple and powerful techniques that you can apply yourself, as well as clear directions to give your designers and programmers, for creating a site that works best for your needs and enhances your business.
During the session we will cover:
- Goal Definition - What you want your website to do.
- Audience Targeting - Who your visitors are, and what you want them to do on your site.
- Structure Overview - Understanding navigation paths, usability, and things to avoid
- Content Management Systems - Tools for easy online organization of your creative output. (You do not need to call your programmer to keep your site’s content fresh and up-to-date!)
- Tools and Features - General and specific recommendations for easy and affordable (even free!) applications to expand your site’s features.
- Fan / Community Engagement - Getting visitors more involved and building a community.
- Marketing Strategies: Best practices for enhancing relevant promotion.
- Evaluation: Analyzing your strategy’s effectiveness and figuring out where to improve.
I have worked with many different kinds of creative profesionals guiding the development of their websites. My goal with this workshop is to make sure you gain an understanding of the options, strategies, and resources at your disposal for creating a web presence that will move your business forward, and leave ready to start implementing them right away.
Your purchase enters you for a chance to receive a complimentary website evaluation during the workshop!
